Information we collect

Account and profile information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication information. You may sign in with email and password, Google, or Apple. Google and Apple may provide account details such as your name, email address, and provider identifier according to your permissions and their privacy choices. We also store profile information you provide, including your leaderboard name and target interview level.

App activity and content

We collect your drill answers, scores, AI feedback, XP, streak, progress, and related app activity so we can deliver drills and track your development. Written answers and AI feedback are private by default. They become readable by other players on the daily in-app board only when you separately choose Visible for answer visibility. Do not include personal, confidential, or sensitive information in an answer you choose to share.

Analytics and technical information

We use Firebase Analytics to understand app usage and improve Pocket PM Coach. It may collect app interactions, device and app information, identifiers, approximate location derived from network information, diagnostics, and performance data.

Website and leaderboard requests

When you visit our website or it requests public leaderboard data, our website, Firebase-hosted API, and hosting or security providers may process standard request and server-log information such as IP address, browser and device type, requested page or endpoint, date and time, referring page, and error or security events. We use this information to deliver, secure, troubleshoot, and measure the website and API.

Our pages load Google Fonts from Google. When your browser requests those font files, Google may receive information such as your IP address, browser details, and the page making the request. Google's handling of that information is governed by its own privacy terms.

Website newsletter

If you subscribe to our website newsletter, we and Beehiiv collect your email address and signup-related information to manage the list and send product updates. Beehiiv processes this information on our behalf under its own privacy terms. You can unsubscribe using the link in an email.

Leaderboards and answer visibility

Pocket PM Coach has two distinct leaderboards. Participation in each is on by default for an account, and you can turn either one off independently in Settings → Leaderboard.

Daily in-app leaderboard

Other signed-in Pocket PM Coach players can see your leaderboard name, daily score, XP, streak, and daily rank. Turn off Daily Drill in Settings → Leaderboard to stop appearing there. Your written answer and AI-generated feedback are a separate choice: they remain private unless you affirmatively select Visible under Default answer visibility. Turning on a leaderboard does not by itself make an answer or feedback public.

Public website leaderboard

Anyone visiting pocketpmcoach.app/leaderboard.html can see the top 100 participating accounts' leaderboard names, all-time ranks, lifetime XP, streaks, and levels. The website does not display email addresses, written answers, or AI feedback. Turn off All-Time Leaderboard in Settings → Leaderboard to stop appearing there. Turning off the website board does not turn off the daily in-app board, and vice versa.

Opt-out and removal timing

After you turn a board off, we stop including your account in future results for that board. Changes appear when the board next loads or refreshes, although previously delivered pages, device state, intermediary caches, or screenshots may persist for a short time or outside our control. If you cannot access your account, contact hello@pocketpmcoach.com from the email linked to it and request leaderboard removal.

How we use information

• Authenticate you, maintain your account, and store your profile and activity.
• Provide and personalize drills, scoring, progress tracking, AI feedback, ranks, and leaderboard features.
• Apply your separate leaderboard and answer-visibility choices.
• Analyze reliability and usage, troubleshoot problems, prevent abuse, secure the service, and improve features.
• Communicate about support and service changes and, if you subscribe, send product updates.

AI processing

To grade a drill, Pocket PM Coach sends the relevant question or prompt, your answer, and your target level to Anthropic for AI processing. Requests are sent through an authenticated Firebase proxy; the app does not send them directly to Anthropic. Anthropic processes this information to generate grading and coaching feedback. Avoid entering information you do not want processed by an AI provider.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, the app may schedule local reminders on your device. You can change notification permission in iOS Settings and adjust available reminder options in the app. Local notification scheduling does not require us to send your drill answers to Apple.

Providers, sharing, and international processing

We disclose information as needed to operate the service: Google Firebase for authentication, database hosting, analytics, APIs, and backend processing; Anthropic for AI grading; Beehiiv for newsletter subscriptions; Google Fonts for website fonts; and Apple or Google when you use their sign-in services. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transfer. We do not sell personal information.

These providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they or their service providers operate. Those countries may have privacy laws different from the laws where you live. Each provider handles information under its own terms, privacy commitments, and applicable transfer mechanisms.

Leaderboard information is shared with the audiences and under the settings described above. Other users may save or share information they can see, including through screenshots.

Retention and deletion

We retain account, profile, drill, answer, feedback, progress, and leaderboard information while your account is active and as reasonably needed to provide and secure the service. Turning off a leaderboard removes your account from that display but does not by itself delete your account, drill history, XP, or underlying records. Website and API security logs and analytics records may be retained according to our service configurations and legitimate security needs. Newsletter information is retained until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.

You can request deletion of your account and associated app data from Settings → Delete Account in Pocket PM Coach. If you cannot access the app, email hello@pocketpmcoach.com from the address linked to your account. After a verified deletion request, we delete or de-identify personal information unless we must retain limited information for legal, fraud-prevention, security, or dispute-resolution purposes. Residual copies may remain temporarily in protected backups and caches before being overwritten or expiring through normal cycles.

Your choices and rights

You can independently turn off either leaderboard in Settings → Leaderboard, keep answer visibility set to Private, change your leaderboard name under Leaderboard Name, manage notification permission in iOS Settings, unsubscribe from newsletter emails, or delete your account.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You may also have the right to appeal our response or complain to your local data-protection authority. To make a request, email hello@pocketpmcoach.com. We may need to verify your identity, and legal exceptions may apply.

Data security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including authenticated access and encrypted network connections. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Age requirement

Pocket PM Coach is intended only for adults age 18 and older. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to create or use an account. If you believe someone under 18 has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it as appropriate.

Policy changes

We may update this policy as the service or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy here, update the effective date, and provide additional notice in the app when appropriate. Continued use after an update means the revised policy applies to your future use.
