Information we collect

Account and profile information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication information. You may sign in with email and password, Google, or Apple. Google and Apple may provide us with account details such as your name, email address, and provider identifier according to the permissions and privacy choices you use with them. We also store profile information you provide, including your target interview level.

App activity and content

We collect your drill answers, scores, AI feedback, progress, and related app activity so we can deliver drills and track your development. If you choose to participate in the optional public leaderboard, the answers or other content you post, your displayed profile information, and reactions may be visible to other users. Do not include sensitive personal information in public content.

Analytics and technical information

We use Firebase Analytics to understand app usage and improve Pocket PM Coach. It may collect app interactions, device and app information, identifiers, approximate location derived from network information, diagnostics, and performance data.

Website waitlist

If you join our website waitlist, we and Beehiiv collect your email address and signup-related information to manage the list and send launch or product emails. Beehiiv processes this information on our behalf under its own privacy terms. You can unsubscribe using the link in an email.

How we use information

• Authenticate you and maintain your account using Firebase Authentication.
• Store your profile, drill answers, progress, leaderboard content, and reactions in Firebase Firestore.
• Provide and personalize drills, scoring, progress tracking, and AI feedback.
• Operate optional community and leaderboard features you choose to use.
• Analyze reliability and usage, troubleshoot problems, secure the service, and improve features.
• Communicate with you about support, service changes, and—if you join the waitlist—product updates.

AI processing

To grade a drill, Pocket PM Coach sends the relevant question or prompt, your answer, and your target level to Anthropic for AI processing. Requests are sent through an authenticated Firebase proxy; the app does not send them directly to Anthropic. Anthropic processes this information to generate grading and coaching feedback. Avoid entering information you do not want processed by an AI provider.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, the app may schedule local reminders on your device. You can change notification permission in iOS Settings and adjust available reminder options in the app. Local notification scheduling does not require us to send your drill answers to Apple.

When we share information

We share information only as needed to operate the service, including with Google Firebase for authentication, database hosting, analytics, and backend processing; Anthropic for AI grading; Beehiiv for website email signups; and Google or Apple when you use their sign-in services. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transfer. Public leaderboard content and reactions are shared with other users only when you use those optional features. We do not sell your personal information.

Retention and deletion

We retain account, profile, drill, and community information while your account is active and as reasonably needed to provide and secure the service. Analytics records may be retained according to our Firebase configuration. Waitlist information is retained until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.

You can request deletion of your account and associated app data from Settings → Delete Account in Pocket PM Coach. If you cannot access the app, email hello@pocketpmcoach.com from the address linked to your account. After a deletion request, we delete or de-identify personal information unless we must retain limited information for legal, fraud-prevention, security, or dispute-resolution purposes. Residual copies may remain temporarily in protected backups before being overwritten through normal backup cycles.

Your choices

You can avoid posting to the public leaderboard, manage notification permission in iOS Settings, unsubscribe from waitlist emails, and delete your account as described above. You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, subject to applicable law and identity verification.

Data security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including authenticated access and encrypted network connections. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

Pocket PM Coach is intended for adults preparing for professional interviews and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can delete it.

Policy changes

We may update this policy as the service or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy here, update the effective date, and provide additional notice in the app when appropriate. Continued use after an update means the revised policy applies to your future use.
